Helicopter Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented California Coast
An aircraft soaring above a popular California shoreline suddenly began spiraling wildly, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a line of palm fronds as spectators observed.
Footage uploaded online show the aircraft commencing to spiral near the beach then plunging towards the edge of the beach, where it becomes wedged amidst palm groves and a set of stairs near the coastal road.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency responders reported five persons were rushed to the hospital comprising two who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three people on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their wounds were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
