Paramount Skydance Plans to Cut Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – News
Paramount Skydance will initiate significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, cutting about 2,000 US jobs as part of a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
The layoffs come after the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August worth $8.4bn.
More overseas workforce reductions are expected, with Paramount Skydance planning to disclose complete information via its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.
Previous updates had indicated the company planned to cut from 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by early November.
By December 2024, the organization retained about 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 project-based staff.
The organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
